Not all tires are the same. In the early 20th century, all bicycle and car tires were made by hand at the plant on Vahrenwalder Strasse. Whereas, today Continental tires are produced in 16 countries.
Unlike then, production now takes place exclusively using (semi-)automated processes. The smallest and biggest tires in the portfolio are all produced in this way. With an overall diameter of just 105 mm, the MH 20 tire for forklifts, is by far the smallest tire in the overall range. In contrast, the largest tire, dubbed the Continental DumperMaster, has a total diameter of 206 cm and is used every day on loaders and mining vehicles.
